Millicent Fawcett is not nearly as prominent in the mainstream or in history to many people outside of Britain. She was far more aggressive and even pro-war when WW1 was in it's infancy; only because of how much the war was enabling women to determine their own destinies. She didn't fall under the pacifistic stance but encouraged the idea that women too in their own right could fight their own battles just as well as men in any field. Still she's not nearly on the same level as many of the intellectual women of her time, but she is certainly greatly regarded in British history for her contribution to the suffrage movement.
